We are currently looking to fill the post of a Specialty Doctor in the Kensington & Chelsea Area. The successful candidate will join a dynamic multi-disciplinary team and work in conjunction with other Consultants in Forensic Psychiatry. Successful applicants will benefit from a wide variety of experience and a thorough grounding in Forensic Psychiatry, including in risk assessment and management.

If successful you will have the opportunity to obtain further training and to meet your CPD requirements you will also be able to attend a comprehensive weekly Academic Programme. You will most likely have a case load of between 60 to 80 service users.  The team will be supported by 0.5 (x2) Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists, a full time speciality doctor, a team manager, a deputy team manager, 6 care coordinators ( with both nursing and social work backgrounds), 0.5 Consultant Forensic Psychologist and a placement worker. 

Part of your responsibilities will be to provide specialised assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and aftercare services for offenders with mental health problems and to provide a wide range of interventions at the lowest level of security required. To reduce and manage the potential risk to both self and others by the individual, through treatment plans and  the effective use of physical, procedural and relational security.
